This website is operated by Lesley Christie, trading as Lesley Christie Coaching (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are the data controller for the personal data collected through this website and through our coaching services.

We may collect the following personal data:
- - Name and email address (when you contact us, book a call, or sign a coaching agreement)
- - Business information (website URL, social media profiles, business goals shared during sessions)
- - Session notes and correspondence
- - Payment information (processed by Stripe or held in invoices)
- - Technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected automatically via server logs
3. Legal basis for processing
- - Contract: Processing necessary to deliver coaching services you have engaged us for.
- - Legitimate interests: Maintaining business records, responding to enquiries, and improving our services.
- - Legal obligation: Retaining financial records as required by HMRC.
4. How we use your data
- - To deliver and administer coaching services
- - To communicate with you about sessions and billing
- - To maintain records of our coaching relationship
- - To comply with legal and financial obligations
We do not use your data for marketing without your explicit consent, and we do not sell your data to any third party.
5. Third-party processors
We use the following third-party services which may process your personal data:
- - Book Like a Boss — scheduling and calendar bookings
- - Stripe — payment processing (does not store full card data on our systems)
- - Signaturely — digital contract signing
- - Email provider — for coaching correspondence
Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where data is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with UK GDPR.
6. How long we keep your data
- - Financial records: 6 years after the end of the financial year (HMRC requirement)
- - Session notes and coaching correspondence: 3 years after the end of the coaching relationship
- - Enquiry data (where no coaching relationship begins): 12 months
7. Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- - Access the personal data we hold about you
- - Rectification of inaccurate data
- - Erasure (“right to be forgotten”) in certain circumstances
- - Restriction of processing in certain circumstances
- - Data portability where processing is based on consent or contract
- - Object to processing based on legitimate interests

8. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect when it was last revised. Continued use of this website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
